Unlike most watch repair centers Gray and Sons like to involve our customers through the process by sending them a quick snap of the movement completely disassembled. We are old-fashioned and want to show you the work that is out on every timepiece rather than to just tell you about it. As you can see in the picture attached the movement is completely taken apart down to the smallest component. Every part will undergo a deep cleaning process using a 4 step ultrasonic cleaning machine. During this step, 3 different cleaning solutions will remove all lubricants, and prepare the movement for reassembly. Once cleaned everything will be put back together piece by piece with the application of four different types of synthetic oils to ensure longer life-span on the moving parts.

During our final quality control process we will check on the automatic mechanism to ensure the powering up of the watch and power reserve. Your watch will returned fully calibrated up to manufacturers standards.
